We love trying out new nail techniques and finding ways to get more creative. As soon as we launched our AquaColor nail pens, we could tell that plenty of you felt the same; using the pens to produce cool, creative designs which we’ve loved seeing so far.

To help you with some ideas – and to get you started if it’s your first time using our nail pens – we’ve put together three brilliant designs for you to create from home.

For all three looks, you’ll want to begin by:

Prepping the nail: use the Bluesky nail file, push back and trim your cuticles, gently buff your nails and then clean them with a cleanser wipe.

Using a base coat: apply a thin layer of base coat and cure for 30 seconds under an LED lap/1 minute in UV.

1. Apply two layers of a Bluesky white gel polish of your choice and cure it for 60 seconds in an LED lamp/2 minutes in UV.
2. Apply our no wipe matte top coat and cure for 60 sec in LED/2 min in UV. Tip: if you choose to apply a top coat with a sticky layer, make sure you wipe it with cleanser and wait for 30-60 secs so that you’re able to control the ink from the AquaColor pen.
3. Apply 2-3 drops of Bluesky AquaColor pen number 4 and 2-3 drops of number 5.
4. Get your blender pen and spread the colours to blend. Wait 30-60 secs and let it dry naturally – there’s no need to cure it.
5. Apply no wipe top coat and cure for 60 secs in an LED lamp/2 mins in UV.

1. Apply two layers of a Bluesky white gel polish of your choice and cure it for 60 secs in an LED lamp/2 mins in UV.
2. Apply our no wipe matte top coat and cure for 60 sec in LED/2 min in UV. As with look one, if you choose to apply a top coat with a sticky layer, make sure you wipe it with cleanser and wait for 30-60 secs so that you’re able to control the pen’s ink.
3. Use AquaColor pen number 5 and apply two small dots opposite each other towards the right corner of the nail.
4. With your blender pen, pull the colour to make it shear. Let it dry naturally for 30 secs.
5. Once dry, apply another two drops in between the first two and repeat step four to turn it into a petal.
6. Finish with a no wipe top coat and cure for 60 secs LED/2 min UV.

1. Choose your favourite Bluesky white gel polish and apply two layers; cure for 60 secs in an LED lamp/2 mins in UV.
2. Apply our no wipe matte top coat and cure for 60 secs in LED/2 min in UV.
3. Apply 2-3 drops of AquaColor pen number 3 and number 4.
4. Add in 2-3 drops of number 5 in the gaps as shown.
5. Get your blender pen and carefully blend the colours together. Wait 30-60 seconds to let it try naturally.
6. Apply a no wipe top coat and cure for 60 secs LED/2 min UV.
7. Finally, use our black gel paint with a thin liner brush to outline the patterns and cure.
